Rhino Doors upgrades its North West premises

Industrial Door manufacturer, Rhino Doors, has relocated its North West operation to a new base in Preston, Lancashire, to facilitate its continued growth throughout 2022.

The company, founded in 1983, produces high-performance engineered doors for the protection of people and assets, working with organisations spanning the sectors of defence, transport and critical infrastructure.

Rhino Doors moves to Preston from its former offices in Burscough, whilst still continuing to operate the main manufacturing facility in Port Talbot, South Wales.

Recently, the company has worked extensively across the transport sector, carrying out manufacturing and installation work for Transport for London and a major North American rail tunnel project.

Rhino’s move to upgraded premises highlights the continued success of the wider Rhino Engineering Group, including its specialist subsidiaries focusing on door installation and the production of explosion relief products for the global hydrogen market.

The new facility will serve not only as an office base for staff based in the region, but significantly it will serve as the first regional depot for aftersales business, Rhino Site Systems Limited, which was launched in the summer of 2021. Additionally, the facility will also provide overflow manufacturing capacity, all in support of the Group’s broader growth plans.

“With significant growth seen across the company in 2021, we’re pleased to have secured new premises to facilitate our continued growth,” said Stuart Lawrence, Group Managing Director of Rhino Engineering Group.

“Our previous office location, in Burscough, was home to the North West branch for five years and was a great base to allow us to grow.

“But now, at an exciting time in the company’s history, we’re looking forward to new ventures and putting plans in place for our continued and sustainable growth through the years to come.”
