The Rhino Hysafe team recently attended the Manchester Hydrogen Industry Leaders (HIL) event – Hydrogen Safety – where they joined innovators and decision-makers from across the hydrogen sector. The event provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange and networking within this rapidly expanding industry.
General Manager Andrew Davies, Group Chief Engineer Dr Chris Norris, and Group Managing Director Stuart Lawrence represented Rhino HySafe. The team strategically positioned themselves alongside other exhibitors within the event facility, facilitating numerous valuable discussions with industry stakeholders.
The event had 12 speakers and four panel discussions and had more than 250 attendees. Its focus was on ensuring safety in the hydrogen sector.
Focus on Hydrogen Safety Solutions
Given the event’s emphasis on hydrogen safety, the Rhino HySafe team took the opportunity to engage in detailed conversations about safety approaches within the hydrogen sector. Particular attention was given to the safe venting of combustion products in the unlikely event of leaks and subsequent detonation within equipment containers or buildings.
The team noted significant interest in their technical expertise, with the VERTEX range of explosion relief panels (ERP) generating substantial discussion. This high level of engagement highlights the growing recognition of explosion safety measures as a critical component in hydrogen infrastructure development.
Looking Forward
The positive reception and technical interest demonstrated at the event reinforce the industry’s commitment to prioritising safety as hydrogen technologies advance. The Rhino HySafe team enthusiastically supported the hydrogen sector’s growth with their specialised safety solutions.
As the hydrogen economy expands, Rhino HySafe remains dedicated to developing and implementing cutting-edge safety technologies that enable the safe deployment of hydrogen systems across various applications.
